A collection of 100-word musings
Day 1: Your mind is like sunshine
The sun shines the light on Earth.
On the surface, it seems like the sun is doing nothing.
It's doing a lot. It causes transformation. For the flowers to open its petal. For the plant to grow. And with the plant growing, it'a possible for animal species to thrive.
Your mind has the same effect as the sun. It can illuminate and transform everything.
But to get that power, you need to remain still. To be free of thoughts and worries and the sense of self. You need to be conscious.
Try this: Breathe in and out.

Day 2: We are both Hyde and Jekyll
You probably heard of this story before. The gentle, kind Dr. Jekyll transformed into a hideous beast every night, slaying off his neighbors.
The moral of the story?
No one is all good. There are good and bad sides in each of us.
Why can't we be good all the time? Why can't we get out of our hideousness and stop hurting everyone?
The thing is happiness is not sustainable. If you're looking for sustainable happiness, you're going to be disappointed.
Because we just limp by day after day, trying to live our lives a little better.
The existence of our bad side is just a reminder that pains are inherent in each of us. And we're very much capable of hurting others, to make up for our pains.
It's no good denying your pain. You only exasperate it.
The key is to embrace your pains. Accept and learn to live with it.
But remember, in all those moments you're blinded by pain, you're a good person at heart. You can choose your acts as a kind and helpful person, to yourself and others.

Day 3: Something which is so real but not real
We all live in the make-believe world where both that we desire and we dread become a reality.
What is more real? The thing in our head or the thing that happens out there?
They can't be both real for sure. Since how can we be awake and asleep at the same time?
Something which is so real but not real.
We're all in a hyponosis manifested from our desires and fears.
Perhaps someday we will break free from this grand dream. But now we stay.

Day 4: Do you optimize too much?
The past few weeks I'm trying to do less.
Spend less time online. Disconnect from social media.
Feel less creative. Be in a hazy state of mind.
It takes me a lot of time writing - sometimes I hate it - what I'm supposed to love.
It hurts me both mentally and physically.
That's when I realize:
The way I optimize doesn't align with my values.
So the more I optimize, the more out of touch I feel.
Doing less or concentrating on one thing isn't the answer.
What matters is the intent, why you do it.
